Stage IV- During this cancer stage, the malignancy has spread into other body organs like the liver or lungs. For these individuals the survival rate is only about 5 to 10 % depending which study you follow.

Determination of Cancer Stages

How a colon cancer stage is determined varies. In some cases, a CAT scan may be used to detect the profession of the malignancy.
